Depression Glass Greensburg Glassworks Black Glass Fox Terrier
Nothing is more elegant than basic black, and this ebony glass ashtray is a study in simplicity and elegance. It was created by Greensburg Glass Works in the mid-1920's - 1930's, and features a highly-detailed Wire-Haired Fox Terrier. It is done in what was called ebony glass, with a very smooth, high gloss finish. It is 4" in diameter, and the dog is 1" tall x 1 1/2" long x 1/2" wide. It is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear, which is outstanding, considering it's age. Despite its original purpose, it can easily be re-purposed as a dish to hold cufflinks, rings, coins, etc...A fabulous gift for a very "classy" guy!
